Coating & Paint Resin
Vinyl resin -Hydroxyl-Modified Vinyl Chloride/Vinyl Acetate Copolymers MVAH
A high molecular weight, partially hydrolyzed vinyl chloride/vinyl acetate resin, made in a two-step
process, having a composition of approximately 90 percent vinyl chloride, 4 percent vinyl acetate,
6 percent vinyl alcohol, with a hydroxyl content of approximately 2.3 percent. MVAH has excellent
adhesion on PET, resin primer, paper, PVC, ABS, pre-treatment of PE and OPP. MVAH often
used with other film-forming material in order to improve the coating performance, and enhance
paint adhesion, flexibility, tenacity, hardness and chemical resistance. The hydroxyl functional
group permits crosslinking reactions for thermoset , obtaining excellent chemical and water
resistance.
MVAH Vinyl Resin Quality standard
Application:
MVAH can be used for a wide range of coatings applications, including marine
anti-corrosion paint, gravenu ink, chassis paints, maintenance, PU and wood
finishes, paper coatings, PET inks, interbedded adhesive, adhesive for magnetic
tape and carbon ribbon.
